The Greater Chicago Food Depository is located at 4100 West Ann Lurie Place in Chicago.

 

As a dedicated non-profit organization, we are forever in need of wonderful volunteers to help us in our efforts.  Listed below are a few of the volunteer opportunities at European American Association (EAA).

 

 

Community Development

 

Donate all or part of properties to EAA for the intention of rehabbing and selling to low-moderate income individuals and families at a reasonable price.  EAA has a 501(c)(3) status and all donation are tax deductible.  See the Community Development page for more details about this program. 

 

Senior Emergency Home Repair

 

If you have knowledge of home repair EAA could use your help for many Senior Citizens are in need of minor home repair and whenever possible we do this free of charge. 

 

We are in need of donated materials to be used for emergency repair on Senior Homes.  For program details regarding this program see Senior Home Repair  page.

 

Food Pantry:

  • Help Distribute food

  • Attend our work outings to the food depository, where we have a lot of fun and receive credit for the hours worked.

  • Attend the "Walk for Hunger" in June with our organization, or donate money to Greater Chicago Food Depository during that time to apply as a credit for EAA food bill.

Community Garden

 

Assist us during the Clean and Green program in the spring and again in the fall.  We clean abandoned lots, plant flowers, paint street posts, etc.
