In-Home Services

Also known as Home Care Services, this program, sponsored through the Illinois Department on Aging, is designed to provide some of the services needed for Senior Citizens to avoid nursing home or hospital placement, by strengthening their ability to function in their own home and remain independent longer yet still allowing them to retain a sense of dignity and self-esteem.

Community Development

This program involves the obtaining and renovation of deteriorated and abandoned properties. A few of this program benefits are:

  • - Creates jobs Helps stop the destruction of our neighborhoods,

- Improve Chicago Communities and stimulates growth Created assistance to homeless and in danger of being homeless

- Generates affordable housing for Low-middle income individuals and families In an effort to improve our communities, create jobs and affordable housing,

 

EAA has successfully recycled properties which were destined to be destroyed.

 

We acquire properties that are burned out, vandalized, abandoned properties that are in need of vast amounts of work and thus are hard to sell, and properties in danger of being demolished through court orders. These properties are acquired through:

- Foreclosures U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)

- Bank Owned or Mortgage Holder Chicago

- Abandoned Property Program (CAPP)

- Donation of distressed, burned out or hard to sell properties
